The Lav Concealer is a soft pliable mount that covers many different mounting options, moulding itself to the surface it is attached to. Because of it's rubber material, it also acts as a shock mount, protecting the mic capsule from vibration and absorbing friction noise to give you clearer sound recordings.
These innovative lav mounts fit the capsule perfectly and, along with making hiding the mic easier, protects it from a build up of glue which can result from repeatedly attaching tape directly to the mic. The Lav Concealers can be attached directly to skin or clothing using our Lav Concealer Tape. The tape is very strong, hypoallergenic and easy to apply, for mounting on fabric or skin without worry. It also includes a newly designed metal clothing clip and fabric guards, which can be applied in any configuration you like, depending on the mounting style.
It can also be sewn into costumes by the costume department for daily repeated use.

Lav CONCEALER FEATURES

SHOCK ABSORBING:The moulded rubber concealer is made for excellent vibration and friction absorption, while the metal clothing clip and fabric guards prevent the transmission of vibration through the concealer to the microphone capsule.

The natural rubber used in manufacturing The Lav Concealer is biodegradable, which the environment will thank you for. In terms of clarity, using a soft, pliable rubber means it absorbs more vibrations than harder materials (eg. plastic), preventing unnecessary noise from ever reaching the microphone capsule. The Lav Concealer includes two fabric guards and a clothing clip, made of sprung metal. These attach to the concealer in tiny holes on the front and back. Having two different materials operating in unison helps prevent friction or vibrations from being transferred from one to the other, and eventually to the capsule.
It moulds to your mounting style: Both the clothing clip and fabric guards are removable, and you can mount them on the front, back, top-side or bottom-side of The Lav Concealer. For the ultimate fabric guard configuration, use tape to attach the concealer and mount the Extreme fabric guard on the top-side of the Lav Concealer, with the regular fabric guard on the bottom, to lift the fabric off the entire concealer.

The LNK is a patent pending quick-release connector composed of two identical halves. Designed and machined with minimal tolerances, every LNK is hand assembled, adjusted and inspected to ensure smooth connectivity, operation and a solid fit.
Two Identical HalvesThe LNK solves a common problem that standard film industry connectors struggle with: male and female "gendered" halves.
Need three female connectors on your camera to provide options for the position of the operator's monitor but only one male for the monitor's Noga arm? With standard connectors, you would need to purchase three sets to provide the needed three female halves, while the two unused male halves get lost in an AKS at the back of the truck.
With the LNK you would only need two sets. Three of the halves go on the camera body and the remaining LNK on the Noga. Connect any LNK to any LNK.
All the versatility you needEach half of the LNK system offers a through-hole and threaded-hole for both 3/8-16 and 1/4-20 with the hardware provided. Ever try to attach a transmitter with a threaded-hole to a monitor that only has threaded-holes? Industry standard connectors struggle with that. Since LNKs have through-holes, connecting two threaded-holes is a cinch.
Every kit also comes with two 3/8 to 1/4-20 step-downs giving each LNK all the versatility required for use on set.
Many anti-twist optionsTwisting quick releases have long been a problem of standard film industry connectors. However, the LNK comes with three native anti-twist solutions.
The 8-32 hole directly next to the 3/8 tapped hole of the LNK is for the included 8-32 set screws. This system is ideal for use with Noga arms where they can be tightened after threading the LNK onto the threaded noga to bind and lock the LNK into place.
The two small threaded holes flanking the large through-hole are for the included M1.6 screws. The small holes are set at ARRI anti-twist spacing and the 3mm heads of the screws acts as removable anti-twist pins.
The 3/8 threaded hole on the LNK is flanked by two female ARRI anti-twist holes for use with male anti-twist accessories. The SHD-AT SmallHD Anti-twist is sold separately.
