Based in Brooklyn, NY, The Film Pin Society is a design-focused lifestyle brand born from the collaborative spirit and creative pulse of filmmaking. We honor everyone who brings stories to life—whether they’re in front of the camera, behind it, or simply fans of the magic of cinema. Drawing inspiration from the shared experiences on set, we celebrate all who make storytelling possible, from directors and crew to passionate cinephiles.
The Film Pin Society was founded in 2018 by creative director and filmmaker Noah Shulman. Reflecting on his career experiences both on and off set, Noah wanted to create something that captured the unique camaraderie, shared stories, and moments that emerge in the world of production. "In production, you become a family," he explains. "I wanted to channel that energy into something tangible—something you could wear with pride and that would spark genuine conversations out in the world."
Noah believes every role, whether in front of or behind the camera, plays a crucial part in bringing creative visions to life. From directors, editors, and producers to PAs, grips, gaffers, and even those who simply love cinema, every individual contributes to the storytelling process.
Since launching, The Film Pin Society has expanded to include over 25 unique enamel pins, alongside products like the Creative Workbook and Storyboard Sticky Notes—items thoughtfully crafted to inspire both creativity and productivity. Our products are available in museums, boutiques and production houses around the world, and we’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with institutions like The Academy Museum, Panavision, Alamo Drafthouse, and the Museum of the Moving Image. Our collection was even featured in the 2022 Oscars Gift Bags, marking a special milestone in our journey.
